Missing pregnant jogger in Utah?

I just heard this on one of the news channel as I flipped around. A pregnant woman went to the canyon near her home to jog, and disappeared.

Lori Kay Hacking, 27, left her Salt Lake home about 5:30 a.m. to run in the park and canyon.

After she did not show up later for her job at Wells Fargo Bank, her husband, Mark Hacking, called police at 10:49 a.m., Detective Dwayne Baird said.

People disappear every day, but the national news only picks up the disappearances Pretty Affluent girls to report on. I think this is gross.

3. When I read the headline I immediately thought of Laci Peterson.

But in reading the article it seems the woman was only five weeks pregnant.

I was wondering if maybe there was some serial killer targeting pregnant women, but if she was only five weeks she would not be visibly pregnant.

Well, whether she's white or not, I hope for a happy outcome. Somehow I fear the worst, though.

Because it has been hypothesized that that is what happened to Lacy, and that Scott is only guilty of making bad choices after she disappeared.

But damn, everyone is going to start thinking of Salt Lake as the kidnapping mecca.

Anyway, this has gotten a lot of play on local news and from the looks of it she is not affluent. If she lives in the area by the park, it's a lower/middle class neighborhood and from the looks like they were college students.

saw press conference that inlaw's were holding. Sort of wierd in a way...saying how great their son was. Wierdly calm..perhaps they were medicated. Rumors that husband is hospitalized or in some type of care.

Her mother is completely distraught.

1000 people have volunteered to search...one thing about Utah...they all come out to help.

Police confiscated dumpster in park..

haven't heard she was pregnant tho? edited..ok...just heard that she was pregnant...hadn't told freinds yet. She and husband were to leave in a week for medical school.
