Which series of bad movies with more than two sequals is the worst?
Sci-Fi channels barrage of Tremors 4 commercials inspired me to ask this question.

While I am not insulting anyone who does like the Tremors line of movies (I myself liked the first one only), I think they are just awful. :hurts:

Certainly not the worst though. I leave that for debate. :nuke:

17. Miniluvamericahatebush here
I must say, as a Star Wars fan from age 4, I agree. The ORGINAL third movie (AKA #9 to all the newbys out there.) was slightly better than # 2. But all of them were better than that mess of Ep 1 *Shudders at the thought.*. I hear that their gonna make some new movies after this.... Let us pray that ol George goes back to his roots.:)

5. hey, I liked the second and third ones
made on less than half the budget of the first. At least they maintained a somewhat consisted pace and style. I liked the show too.

but 2 and 3 were cheap hamburgers compares to the original, which was a nice thick ribeye steak of a horror flick!

4. At least Tremors I was amusing.
Troll is much worse. And yes, there was a Troll III, although the rebilled it as Thr Crawlers because Troll II was so bad that it often caused people to openly weep thinking about the time they spent watching it.

20. OMG YES!!!
That has to be the biggest drop off in quality from original to sequel and beyond.
Things like Tremors & such were ok, and then tanked, but Jaws was the greatest to literally - dare I say it - 'jump the shark'!

25. I thought of Police Academy, too
I liked the first one, though.

One that I always liked, but will never watch again are the Police Squad ones. I love Leslie Neilsen and Frank Drebin, but I refuse to ever see a movie with OJ Simpson in it again.

Jaws did bad with its sequels, but Spielberg was only involved in the first one.

Any of the Jason or Freddy Krueger films, though the original Nightmare on Elm St. was creepy and gruesome.

10. Loads! Police Academy, Rocky, Rambo...
...and I hope they don't make another film about Hannibal Lecter. "Silence" was so great, and then they went and spoilt it with the two sequels.

The first one was somewhat funny.

The second was half as good.

The third was half again....and so on.

31. I second that. The Police Academy movies are awful.
But they're so awful they're good.

One doesn't watch Police Academy; one rubbernecks it.

18. A related question
How many times have you seen an ad for a movie's 'number IV' with no idea that there's even been a 'number II'?

It was like that for me with 'The Howling IV'.

28. I've got you all beat....
Children of the Corn.

There are at least five of them out there, lurking on the shelves of your nearest video store. Gives me the creeps just thinking about it. The original is perhaps the worst adaptation of a Stephen King story and, defying all reason, the sequels are even worse.

The first Robocop with Peter Weller and Ronny Cox was Da Bomb!

The second Robocop, after Murphy had killed both Clarence Boddicker and Dick Jones, was not so good.

The third Robocop fuckin' sucked.
