Isn't it ironic Arnold's movies are actually pretty left wing?
Total Recall - anti-xenophobia, anti-corporatist
Eraser - anti-corporatist, anti-militarism
Terminator series - the whole thing is basically a message against nuclear war and the military industrial complex.

same is true with a lot of mindless action flicks though, bad guys end up being some coporation and/or corrupt military officials...

Arnold is pretty left by comparison on a lot social issues. I don't think he is a bad man, I just don't think he the experience to run a state effectively. Just look at what he is doing this week. Instead of working with the Democratic legislature towards a budget resolution, he calls them "girlie men" (BTW, I do not think the comment was sexist or homophobic, I just think it was inappropriate). He needs to understand the politics is not an all or nothing game. It is all about working with those who you disagreement and finding an agreeable solution that doesn't compromise your principles.
