Poll question: Schlitz poll
Schlitz is on sale at my beer store for $7.99 per case. Which variety should I buy?

1. If it's gotta be Schlitz, at least Schlitz Ice will get me drunk faster.

3. Schlitz is my favorite cheap beer
It's $1.50 per can at the neighborhood bar I go to, so I drink a lot of it.

11. I prefer the local cheap beer, Old German.
Usually $1.50 for a 16 oz bottle but $0.75 per 16 oz bottle on Saturday. But at the beer store it is 7.99 for Schlitz and 8.89 for Old German. I like to buy local but at 10% more it is just not the best idea. Tastewise I'd have to admit that Old German is a little blander than Schlitz, which can be either bad or good depending on how much one likes the schlitz flavor. I like it. As the label says "Just the kiss of the hops" mmm

Forget the price -- go for taste.

6. If that is your only option, don't bother.
Schlitz is horrible rotgut crap. If you respect yourself you'll not be so cheap and buy something decent.

7. They still make Schlitz????!!!
I thought it disappeared long ago. It's hard to believe that used to be one of THE big beers around here; it used to be Schlitz and Budweiser. Bud is even huger now, but Schlitz? Actually, Schlitz was the first beer I ever drank, in high school.

18. I find it odd that between Schlitz and Budweiser, bud would win out
I can't claim that schlitz is a great beer, but at least it didn't cause intense stomach pain, which happened to me once when I took the first swig of a can of budweiser.

8. Is Schlitz owned by a bigger brewery?
If not, that's a good reason to buy their beer. At least it ain't owned by Pete Coors.

12. Owned by Pabst
Pabst owns Strohs too, and many other of the cheaper national beers.

9. I miss those old "Look out for the bull" commercials.
Nothing beats a dinner party that gets interrupted by a huge bull crashing through the wall and wreaking havoc among the guests.

Shitty pseudo-beer, though.
