Holy crap, I had lost 2 pounds today alone... |
|
I ate a large breakfast, but I think it had gone moldy (looked and tasted normal though, it was 3 days old).
All day I felt sick. Drinking a truckload of water I noted (and getting rid of it too)... and eating a LOT throughout the day...
When I got home, the scale said 214.
I ate a proper, freshly made dinner and it's back to 216 and I feel rather better.
I hope it was just bad food that made me feel funky... hopefully it was just the loss of water... I think it was a hypoglycemic attack as my body couldn't deal with what I ate this AM... (I didn't have my testing meter with me at the time but the symptoms were obvious. :-( )

you should leave the scale alone.
it will only frustrate you.

I'm not looking for rapid weight loss and I didn't nitpick today on counting calories, I just had to feel healthy again... (I appreciate the concern though!)
I thought it might be worth a look given today's events. I was frustrated by the fact I lost two pounds. (my goal is 2 or fewer pounds per week, anything more is definitely unsafe and my body has been through enough stress already...)
The scale is a tool to help me ensure I don't go bananas over trying to lose weight or give up exercise/eating plan in frustration. And I know that once I reach a plateau to gently increase my exercise and weight lifting plan.
(My original plan was to also get on the scale once per week on a set date. Today was highly atypical.)

2. I lost four pounds yesterday from vomiting and diarrhea, |
|
but got back three of it today. At one point I considered going to the emergency department to get a couple of liters of IV fluids pumped in.
I hate it when my kids get sick because it usually means I'm going to get sick also (exposed to it before symptoms are apparent), and usually when no one is feeling good.
