Poll question: Deadheads: which of Garcia's guitars was your favorite?
In honor of the Dead appearing tonight on Leno, I thought i'd post this poll devoted to Garcia's legacy. Yeah, I know, Jerry's dead...and not everybody likes the Dead. But this is for those Deadheads on DU who are brave enough to withstand the slings and arrows of the haters.

BTW: Please tune into Leno tonight to catch the new Phil-led Dead!

1. I love the sound of the SG and the Travis Bean from '77.
I just wish I knew what brand pedal steel he played! :)

2. Those are my favorites, too.
My favorite tapes are the ones from 1975-76, when that fat, round Travis Bean tone would glide ecstically over the music.

And the SG playing from late 68-early 69....Jerry's leads on "Lovelight" from 3/1/69 still make me prick up my ears; that amazing, clear tone was absolutley unique.

Pedal Steel? Man, I wish I knew too (I've always wanted to play pedal steel....)

You gonna catch Leno tonight? I'm psyched!

7. The Gibson SG is my dream guitar
It has such an awesome ring to it. If I only had about $1000 or so to piss away on it...
