My dogs have all been perfectly behaved, and out of the puppy phase, never did their business in the house. But then, golden retrievers are genius dogs.

18. As Goldens are senstive & empathetic |
|
perhaps the big dog just works at not making the pug feel inadequate.
Can't do much about the disparity in muzzle size though. Does the Golden steer the Pug away from mirrors?

20. She does not steer the Pug away from mirrors. |
|
Instead, she compliments her, lavishly, on her stunning good looks! You should see that Pug strut around afterwards! ;)

We have two - not only are they intelligent, but they raise their owners IQ by at least 5 points for having had the sense to acquire them.

3. We have a Lab who has a |
|
delicate stomach and sometimes suddenly needs to puke. Often in the middle of the night. Aak!!! She tries to get to the door but she can't open the door and we're not always fast enough. It reeks (the puke and the situation)!

5. true tale to follow... |
|
when my basenji was a puppy we started out with puppy pads (which he chewed up mainly) only to have him follow my husband to the bathroom and tinkle on the toilet immediately after my husband used the bathroom. So we moved the puppy pads into the bathroom and my hubby tinkled a bit on the pads. So did my basenji! From that point my doggie used the puppy pads for all his bathroom needs until he was fully house-broken and going outside.

9. "...swat his ass for it..." Unless he was in the act, he had no clue |
|
why you hit him!! Violence is not necessary and in most cases is counterproductive.

...but then again I own the freelance piddler cat; although Abbott has been very good this past week at piddling in his litter box and not behind my entertainment center!

19. My cat did that once. In front of the front door. |
|
I wasn't home at the time. Didn't have any idea until after I swung open the door. Talk about a mess to clean up.
