I Just Receive an E-Mail From the Bush Campaign - AT MY JOB!!!!

I showed it to my manager, who told me to alert the company's IT and Ethics departments. It looks like someone within the company may have given the Bush people access to our e-mail system.

Anyone else have this happen to them??? And is there nothing the Bushitas won't resort to??? :shrug:

It wouldn't take someone with much technological sophistication to steal an entire company's email list and sell it to ANYONE - that's pretty creepy.

...because there was information about a local voter registration/ID program, and it gave the address, phone number, and contact name for Bush Headquarters here in Colorado Springs.

That's why I suspect it was an inside job.

I think that's why manager suggested that I forward the e-mail to our ethics department. It appears to be a clear violation of our company's prohibition on political activities on company property, or using company equipment.

Said they and the IT department are working together on this. If other people are getting these e-mails, they'll try and figure out how the Bush Campaign go access to our e-mail system. If it's only me that's getting them, they'll see if they can find out who signed me up for that list. Either way, it looks like someone within the company may be in BIG TROUBLE.....
