"Da Ali G Show"; Funniest Thing On TV or What?

I've never laughed so hard and so consistently at any TV show, ever.

It's just friggin' brilliant.

1. I will concede that it's brilliant...

But it's just so rude that I have a hard time watching it. My husband loves it. I have a very hard time dealing with "uncomfortable" situations, which is what Ali G specializes in so I'll usually watch the skit until I get so uncomfortable watching whoever he's interviewing be uncomfortable that I start reading a book or something.

We first heard about the show on "The Daily Show". I think we've seen most of the episodes since then.

an aquired taste I guess...But I've just never seen anything so consistently funny, and I mean bust-a-gut, laugh-out-loud, bother-my-girlfriend-because-I'm-laughing-so-hard funny.

on such high brow targets, with that said, it's my new must see show. I hear that he is going to have Andy Rooney, Gore Vidal and Pat Buchanan on this season. I can't wait!

7. It's Amazing To Me That They Get These People To Do The Show

He interviewed Boutros Boutros Ghali and Jim Baker for cryin' out loud! And they are in the dark about him! The problem is going to be keeping these people in the dark for much longer. That's so much a part of the humour...

I wonder how they arrange for these interviews??? Do you think HBO does it?

bills his show as "something for the kids" alot of these guys oblige because they want to improve their image with the young people. Thats my guess, however I think that the show can go one more season tops before everyone is in on his little joke.

In an earlier episode he showed naked polaroid pics of his wife at a baseball game...I almost died laughing...

spread-eagled to those people in the stands. I couldn't believe it. It was the hardest I have ever laughed at something on TV.

I agree, it is the best show on TV.

That's how funny they are...that I can just think of them and start laughing!

Did you see the one where he goes to the gym and he's trying to get on a machine? Some of the funniest physical humor I've seen in a long time...Then the instructor is on a machine laying on his stomach trying to show him how to use it and Borat is right in front of him w/ his crotch in his face! So friggin' funny!

His physical humor is up there w/ Peter Sellers, and that's saying alot...

he is so funny. That segment with Sam Donaldson was also very amusing. I used to get hbo only because of the sopranos but it's worth keeping just for Ali G.

Ali G is funny, but Borat and Bruno take the cake. It is amazing how that guy (Sasha Baron Cohen) pulls off these three characters with such brains and wit.

16. My GF Is Amazed That It's All The Same Guy

His physical humor and characterizations are in the same league as Peter Sellers, IMO, but funnier because of what he does w/ them.
