1. Maybe because it's not like "formatted".
You know how record companies nowadays want a predictable, consistent product that fits a certain radio format or genre for ease in marketing? Well maybe it's because this album doesn't fall prey to stuff like that.

6. I don't know, the first listen or two, I thought it was overrated

but it does grow on you after a while. The sentiment seems genuine, and the songs seem to be about important things, which are two things I can't say about most of the stuff I hear these days.
