Do you even want to watch the Summer Games this year?
Because let's be honest, each and everytime a USA athelete is going to compete, everybody and his broother will boo the living shit out of them :-( ...and that's just the Opening Ceremony (provided Poppy and the girls aren't hogging the spotlght)

It's bad enough that the Nazi Boradcast Company will surely make this another Goebbers event, but throw in the sheer hatred the world has for *, I don't know if I want to watch this time :-(

1. Yes I love the summer games
and I actually do feel bad for these athletes, they didn't ask for this while they were training for the past 10-15 years for this. I'll be watching!

5. I might watch--if the commercials are not too intrusive and annoying
and if they get booed, I hope it will be reported and a shot on the screen of the royal American fascist family, Bar, Poppy and the strapless sisters waving as if they were really important to the rest of the world and as if the rest of the world eagerly looks forward to seeing them wave, and to seeing the astounding cleavage Jenna will display to the world and the disconnected, discombobulated fashion "statement" of the lesser Bar who will wear one rag wrapped or tied, upon another rag, neither of which matches any color sense, in the hopes she is making a fashion statement that is the envy of every high society spoiled woman of her age in the world.

14. Those idiots are going to the Olympics?
I thought those two little poops would be pounding the pavement, pimping for Papa.

And aren't you glad that fat bitch Babs isn't YOUR grandma?

Maybe they will get booed, instead our athletes.

THOSE people, representing our country in the audience?? What a nightmare!

and I will root for my country, though sometimes I think the network coverage is much too America-centric, ignoring fine athletes from other nations.

12. Brazil v. US indoor womens volleyball
I saw it last year and it was one of the most entertaining sporting events I have ever seen in my entire life. Those uniforms are great. I can't wait.

I'll watch some of the other events but I won't be real upset if I miss the rest.

Is the media. We already ignore them...the athletes have worked on their own for years to compete. If you refuse to watch you are buying into this nationalistic stick... The athletes compete for themselves...

17. I will be watching
I always watch all of the Olympics and the Summer one's are my favorite. I love the swimming and the track and field.

It will be sad the hear the boos for the Americans but maybe this country will take a hint after they find out what the entire world thinks about them.

Our Division III track star made the Olympic 4 x 4 relay team!!! So you bet, our whole state is very excited to have a "summer" Olympian. Have had a ton of winter athletes with the speed skating en all, but for the Summer games??? Oh ya you betcha.

21. Yes, actually.
Because despite media whoring, the Olympics is a really cool event and I love to watch it. I mean, if that's hypocritical (for me to like watching the Olympics and not like NBC that much) then please excuse me for that. I think it's amazing to watch the athleticism that I could only dream of having...

but without cable, I think I'm stuck watching the more popular events or the snippets that NBC wants to show.

23. Yes, I will watch
I love the Olympics. I enjoy the athletes and in a small way they help me keep taking care of my body as well. They're inspiring.

And I certainly won't penalize the athletes for being on NBC; they don't control who broadcasts the event.

25. Yes! I'm not convinced US athletes will be booed.
I think most of America's critics are capable of separating their hatred of Bush from the American people.

And I want to see soccer and women's diving.

the only thing i watch on TV is sports ,so yeah, I'm in
I miss all the joys(not!) of the talking head shows which seem to upset everyone so much in GD.

there might be some booing, but I think people mostly show up to cheer. I hear ticket sals are slumping, I dont think some one is going to buy a ticket just to boo the USA

Kid from our town is swimming in some events, his sister is that trippy tie-dye girl which coaches our daughters on swim team, his same team Daytona Speed

Go Ryan
