2. You can find them at All Music Guide
http://www.allmusic.com/

I can't seem to get a direct link -- do a search for Fairport Convention on the main page and you'll get there. They've just redone the site, and I'm finding it a bit confusing to navigate, but if you click the links for individual albums, it should tell you who was in the group when.

Though I think Thompson left in 1970 and Donahue was not picked up until 1972.

Though Thompson and Donahue have frequently been part of the fairport reunions.

I used to follow fairport around whenever they were in the states.

Last time I saw Thomspson he was playing in the tiniest Venue imaginable, a place in Miami Called "Stephen Talkhousse" I bought the best seat in the hoouse which was about five feet from Richard and Danny Thompson who were on a podium raised about a foot above the floor and I was resting my feet on the stage. It was an amazing set, and it was where Thompson first played stuff from Mirror Blue in public. Thompson puts on one of the best and most personal shows anywhere and anytime. He never came back to Florida again, as the room was immensely tiny, with no more than fifty people watching the show. It was more like dinner theater than a concert, because you coulld sit and order a burger and fries whil the show was going on,and on the other side of the bar, you could see the concert for free anyway as all that was separating the people at the bar from the show was a four foot high partition wall. Amazing.
