Political astrology - George W. Bush (and some Cheney stuff)

George W. Bush: The winds of change blowing through the President’s chart are less favourable than in 2003 with the buoyant Pluto Jupiter sextile now passed. Taking the broad sweep first, he has Uranus moving from February 2004 through his 8th for several years ahead - always a highly strung, nervy, emotionally and financially disruptive influence.

Neptune by transit in his 7th continues to emphasise lack of commitment, unreliable agreements, and his perceived untrustworthiness.

Saturn moving into his 12th from mid May 2004 hints at the beginnings of the end of a cycle in his career. It will be more of an uphill struggle in the years ahead to make his mark, though Saturn doesn’t disappear into his low profile first quadrant until September 2005.

This year he still has the final disruptive Pluto opposition Uranus transit to come from July 19 to October 10th, which will tend to make elements of his life disappear suddenly, will stand everything on its head and reverses the status quo. It needn’t be catastrophic but hanging onto the past will not be in his interests.

He also has Saturn putting a damper on his confidence as it conjuncts his Sun from June 9 to 16; squares his Moon from July 2 to 8; and squares his Jupiter from July 18 to 24. Saturn then heads for its natal return in October 2004. His confidence about financial and emotional matters will be low, he’ll feel unappreciated, and the executive pressures on him will be considerable. Saturn tends to bring chickens home to roost, makes past mistakes obvious, and since his natal Saturn and Sun are in the 12th will bring up unconscious guilt about not coming up to parental expectation.

His mid points hint at a major crisis as Pluto squares Mars/Neptune from 25 February to 23 April. This tends to accompany sudden states of weakness, low energy, illness or accident. The Vice President, Dick Cheney’s chart is under stress at the same time with Pluto square his Moon, bringing emotional and/or health issues to the fore; and the Bush Administration chart is also facing a major turn in destiny. So obviously dates to watch. Bush will have a bumpy ride through an uncomfortable March (Uranus square Sun/Asc) into a high tension May/June/July with Uranus conjunct Moon/Saturn. It will bring estrangements, isolation, jolting events, unhappiness.

Just prior to the November election he’ll be flying higher with Pluto trine Jupiter/Node bringing success from July 19th to October 10th, sensing his public popularity is rising. But his transits for the election itself are not good. Saturn will conjunct Sun/Mercury from October 1st to 19th before proceeding to conjunct Sun/Pluto until November 27th which will make him feel unable to advance or consolidate his position as leader. His composite chart with Dick Cheney, is similarly afflicted over the November election with Saturn conjunct their joint Jupiter, square the Sun, and opposition Sun/Mars. They will not feel a successful duo. Bush’s composite with the USA also has Saturn conjunct Venus across the election dates hinting at a separation.

DICK CHENEY:
Pluto square his Pisces Moon from 25 February to 23 April will be his major hazard in 2004, with emotional, partnership and perhaps health strains. On his mid points as well mid March to early April look fraught with Uranus square Sun/Neptune, and conjunct Mars/Uranus, which tends to accompany sudden crises, illness, high levels of nervous strain. Those transits repeat late August to mid September. In between he jolts and jangles through May, June and July with Uranus square Sun/Node. Pluto opposition Jupiter/Pluto will allow him to put on a display of chutzpah from June 8th to July 8th, which repeats across the election but it will be an uphill struggle with Pluto opposition Saturn/Pluto at the same time. In August Saturn opposes his Venus from August 11 to 18th which will make him feel unloved and unpopular. In November he has Saturn conjunct Uranus/Node and Neptune/MC, as well as square Venus/Pluto which don’t hint at success.

Cheney/Bush:
His relationship with Bush will be under immense pressure from late February to late April as Pluto trines the composite Mars/Saturn suggesting huge difficulties, perhaps major accidents or incidents of brutality. There will be a major change in their relationship as Uranus squares the composite Uranus from April 3rd to 26th, and again 28th July to 22nd August. This will bring tensions into the open, could conceivably herald a separation. But even if it doesn’t, their joint star is at an all time low around the election time with Saturn conjunct the composite Jupiter and square the Sun in November.
