That encompasses more than just looks. For some people, money can boost a person's attractiveness range.

Or: Maybe she's a total emotional mess. Maybe he rescued her from drugs or prostitution. Maybe her face is badly scarred. Maybe she's blind. Maybe he's ballooned up due to a glandular condition since they've met.

Here's a question:

Does anybody think that, assuming they are both normal, well-adjusted people, both in the same educational and income range, compatible personalities, etc., that a romantic relationship would likely develop?

Maybe they developed a deep connection in a years-long online romance and finally met. She steps off the plane and sees him for the first time, and... How does she react? How many people are so non-shallow that they'd see completely past all physical traits? For guys, imagine the reverse situation, a young greek god of a man, and a 280-lb woman.
