Did anyone watch Conan O'Brien last night?

He had fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi as one of his guest. Maybe it's just me but I get the distinct impression that Conan can't stand Mizrahi. I vaguely remember Mizrahi being on O'Brien's show several months ago and there seemed to be an undercurrent of hostility on Conan's part. It seemed to be there again last night. I myself don't like Mizrahi. I think he is one of the most annoying people I've ever seen. I was first exposed to him when I saw "Unzipped" and it was all that I could do to sit through it and listen to him go on and on as though he thought everything that came out of his mouth was interesting and amusing. Maybe I'm projecting onto O'Brien but somehow I don't think so. I think O'Brien finds him annoying as well.

2. His new schtick...

...is to say that he is no longer gay because being gay has become so fashionable. He was saying that being straight is "so in" now. I know that he was trying to be funny (and failing) but in the present climate his saying that gay is out and straight is in just go under my skin. I can't fucking stand him.

As if sexuality is nothing more than a changing fashion statement. Does not sound like someone you would ever want to trust. What a jerk.

Twice, actually. 60 Minutes 2 had a segment on him last night also and he said it there as well. That's why I called it his latest "schtick". Maybe I'm projecting but I really think that even Conan--a straight man--was annoyed by it all.
