GRRRRR . . . .PEOPLE PISS ME OFF SOMETIMES |
|
So I've been really busy lately. Met this girl via work that was extremely cool, she was leaving the company, we talked, hung out, etc. We discussed all kinds of things, I started to get really interested. We made plans for a huge dinner (to be cooked by me), I go out and dump much dinero on all the makings of a gourmet dinner (I'm a great cook btw), and the frickin' #%^&@!* e-mails me to say she can't make it because her "boyfriend" wouldn't approve. Doesn't call me (which would be really easy I'd think) just f'in e-mails me AFTER I've spend a crapload of money on preparations.
I am so pissed off right now I can't f'in see straight.
So any DU'ers wanna join me for a steak dinner tomorrow night? Grilled zucchini and sauteed mushrooms on the side?
Come on, who's in the Boston area (or closer to Lowell) that wants a free meal tomorrow?

Bummer. Just to play devil's advocate, she may not have been aware of the extent of the money and labor you were going to put into this dinner. Or maybe she was just being a tease.

11. Oh, she was aware. . . . |
|
She knew damn well. When we first started talking about it, I told her how good these steaks were that I bought (this shit costs $20 a pound). She knows damned well I have over $100 invested just in the ingredients for the meal.

8. No, she never mentioned it at all. . |
|
That's why I put it in quotations, I think she's bullshitting and just fucking me over like so many females have in the past.
Ah well, at least I didn't get in as deep with her as I did with my ex. . . that evil wench talked me into moving to Boston from California and then changed her mind about the relationship halfway across the country.
Goddammit, I'm sick of this shit, why can't I just find a nice normal female?

18. Very politely . . . as I always do. |
|
I'll quote it :) (keep in mind that I have some CD's that are hers):
Hey you -
Good enough.
I wish you’d said that earlier though, it would have saved me a lot of time and running around. If I’d known you had a boyfriend I never would have made the invitation to begin with, it just wouldn’t have been a cool thing to do (if I were him I probably wouldn’t have been to keen on the idea myself). You should’ve just called and let me know.
Do you want me to just drop those CD’s in the mail to you?
I’ll keep you updated on the job stuff, I should know more about if and when they’re going to sign the contract next week.
Keep in touch,

that's a great response. bad karma will eventually bite her in the ass.
years from now, she'll be living in some boring suburb in some boring town and she'll be really fat and have six bratty kids hanging off of her. her "husband" will be screwing his secretary and after he leaves her, she'll try to make ends meet by selling Mary Kay and at one of their meetings, she'll be sucked in by a cult and she and her kids will move to nevada and eat sand for dinner. and THEN..she'll think to herself.."my god...i should have eaten that fabulous dinner. i sure wish i had some of it right now.."
compare that to YOUR bright future. :)

15. Like I told Sus. . . . |
|
that's why it's in quotes. I don't think this alleged "boyfriend" exists. I think she's bullshitting me.
Not only did I go through all this trouble, but I've also been busting my ass trying to help her get a new job since she's out of work. I bent over backwards helping her rework her resume and giving her a good reference with the contract/IT company I work for.
FUCK!
I am SO pissed off.

She got herself into a situation she didn't know how to get out of gracefully. I'd be pissed, too.
You answered her e-mail very well.

this and I am sorry she did that to you. It pays to live in an area where email is not the most popular means of communication. Folks would never think to email, it might be days or weeks before the in box is checked. We still use the telephone!

9. Well, if it helps..... |
|
...it's better than having her not tell you, but having the previously 'unknown' boyfriend call and ask you not to call again is lower (imho).
BTW..this was after a number of dates.
Sigh. Her loss.

men and women. Some people get in the dating field and they forget to have a decent human respect for their fellow human beings. I'm sorry.
You haven't posted any new pictures of Quinn lately. I imagine he's really grown. I check back now and then to see pictures. He sure is a pretty cat.

24. My thoughts exactly . . . |
|
It's just coming from this girl it was a bit surprising. She's the type that's VERY good with people usually (which is part of why I recommended her so strongly for a job). She also does volunteer social work, etc. I would've expected honest from her at the very least instead just a typical ration of horseshit.
