Teens Accused Of Shooting Air Gun At Kids While Quoting Scripture

THE WOODLANDS -- South Montgomery County police continued to investigate a report Wednesday that while quoting scripture, two teens shot at least two other children with an air soft gun at Fellowship of The Woodlands church's vacation Bible school last week.

The gun that shoots plastic BBs did not seriously injure the children, who were all under the age of 14, but charges are pending against at least two high school-age suspects, said Sgt. Joe Sclider with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department south county division.

The department withheld the names of the suspects Wednesday because one is a juvenile, and neither had been charged with a crime as of press time.

Fellowship of The Woodlands church officials said that they continued to conduct their own investigation Wednesday.
One official at the church with 12,000 members, Student Pastor Chris Ryan, called the event "horse play" and "an isolated incident."

"There were lots of kids that were eye witnesses," he said, adding that each would be interviewed. "We do not condone the use of air soft guns.

"But no little children were injured."

When I'm not at school. Fellowship of the Woodlands is one of those creepy red state churches. My mom works with a woman who goes there. Apparently, at one meeting, the Pastor made them take off their shoes and "give them to the needy." Not new shoes - I mean, they had to take off their shoes and walk out of church barefoot! And no one ever found out what happened to the shoes.

Keep in mind this town is 95% Republican. The fundy, rich, and white kind.
