Just got back from the shelter with two beautiful cats--Minnie and Nemo, one a gray and the other an orange American short hair. I'll try to go over the top and post pics soon. :)

And thanks for saving some kitties.

I had a friend who was annoyed with her friends who bought cats. She referred to strays taken in, adopted from shelter, or given away as natural kitties! I love my natural kitties. Mine were strays that adopted me. It is nice to be chosen, whether you chose your kitties or mine chose me.

Just so you know, they aren't locking in the laundry room, they just seem to have found it is a good place to sleep! :)

And I notice that of course the only two books whose titles you can clearly make out are "Who Stole Feminism" and "The Closing of the American Mind." Let me be clear ... I am not a Freeper! :)

they're gorgeous! How old are they? Do they get along with each other?

9. They came to the shelter as a pair ...

both are just about a year old and look like they could be litter mates. They get along swimingly--Nemo is the playful one, Minnie is much more dainty. Nemo has proven very patient with my 2 year old son--they played together for nearly an hour in the "get acquainted" room at the shelter--and Minnie is probably going to be my wife's lap cat.

Since it's summer, we're all going to be home enough that they should be able to settle in quite well. :)
