Name A Singer You Enjoyed... But They Just Faded Away, Inexplicably ....
Desree, Seal

Listen as your day unfolds,
Challenge what your future holds,
Try to keep your head up to the sky...
Lovers they may cause you tears,
Go ahead release your fears,
Stand up and be challenged
Dont be ashamed to cry..

You gotta be, you gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser,
You gotta be hard you gotta be tough you gotta be stronger,
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together,
All I know all I know is love will save the day.

Herald what your mamma said,
Read the books your father read,
Try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet mind,
Some may have more cash than you,
Others take a different view,
My oh my, hey hey hey,

you gotta be bad, you gotta be bold, you gotta be wiser,
You gotta be hard you gotta be tough you gotta be stronger,
You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm, you gotta stay together,
All I know all I know is love will save the day.

In a church, by the face,
He talks about the people going under.

Only child know...

A man decides after seventy years,
That what he goes there for, is to unlock the door.
While those around him criticize and sleep...
And through a fractal on a breaking wall,
I see you my friend, and touch your face again.
Miracles will happen as we trip.

But we're never gonna survive, unless...
We get a little crazy
No we're never gonna survive, unless...
We are a little...

Crazy...crazy...crazy...

1. I'll bite
I loved a band called Dag. They released one CD, very funky. No subsequent releases. WTF?? I've played the heck out of it. Sure do wish they'd give us something else.

2. Dionne Farris
Her cover of Nina Simone's "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free" was incandescent. Did an album, worked with Arrested Deveolpment and seemed to walk away from it all. Diz-amn!

3. Cheryl Barnes
Played Hud's fiance in the Forman's version of "Hair" and stole the show with "Easy to be Hard". Then never did another thing (except for one soundtrack vocal performance on American Gigolo).

11. Yvonne has just recently returned to performing locally in Hawai'i
she was at the '70s Soul Jam along with the Stylistics, Blue Notes, etc., for instance.

I doubt that a mainland tour is in the offing, however... bet ya didn't know she was a local girl, either, unless you read any of my 8,263 previous Yvonne/Hawai'i posts!

6. Peabo is still around.
He works a lot on the black theater circuit. Wants to be an actor.

I worked for him a while. He's a great, great cat. Just a lovely person.

8. Jude Cole
Great voice, great songwriter. Faded away.

Well, not really. He's now a producer in Nashville, producing country music (argh!!!), I do believe.
