I had logged on because I was feeling bummed.
The SO just left for Germany for a week (on business). Happy B-day to me!
So I came to the lounge looking for something to make me smile, and darned if your thread didn't just leap out and hug me!!!
What a pleasant surprise.
One of the countless reasons DU is such an important part of my daily life.

I have learned so much in a year, it is hard to fathom sometimes. Not that I was ignorant previously, I did my own research on the net and had the same views as many here, except I was the only one I knew who felt that way.
It was truly amazing one year ago today when a buzzflash article directed me to an FR thread where they were accusing someone of being a troll from DU. The poster feigned ignorance of what DU meant (and I had no idea either) until a freeper explained it to him. I immediately checked it out, finally found people of like minds, instantly signed up and the rest is history.
I spend WAY too much time here, to the detriment of my business, but find it hard to do otherwise.
Thanks to all, and congrats to ALL for the best discussion board on the web!!
