If you hate your current job you should be doing everything possible to get a new job you like - there is no point in being miserable in your employment - whatever it is.

how I hated the grocery store. However this job enables me to use a computer so despite being offline at home, I can stay in touch with people.

5. I do

I am bored as most of the stuff I do is routine non mentally challenging stuff. There is no room for advancement in the company. I get lots of stuff dumped on me. I have no direct collegues. My work is not appreciated.
I want to get another job. The problem is that I am not getting the good jobs that I want. There are jobs that I have been offered or would be offered but are lower paying, pay about the same but require a long commute, or are not a job that I would want. If I was unemployed, I might take jobs in the first two categories. As it is though, I have health insurance with my job and my husband doesn't and most jobs require a waiting period before getting health insurance. I worry about how taking a lesser job will look on my resume. I worry about getting a job that is equally bad or worse than my current situation.

9. Yeah it sucks when

you advance as far as you can and then it stinks where you are.
You'd like to start somewhere else, but that usually means taking a pay cut to do so. Of course, you have adjusted to your new level of income, so you wonder if it is worth cutting back to get out. Not a fun place.

That's why I will never work for someone else again!

11. I hear ya..........

I'm bored stiff myself. I desperately need a change of scenery, I'm tired of the same people, same routine, same dumb childish games, etc.

I deserve better and so do you. :) Unfortunately, it's harder than people realize to move on, there has to be something better, much better, in order for me to go. I just don't have the energy to move onto the same kind of dull work I'm doing now. :(
