Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy |
|
After much consideration, I have decided that this was an absolutely horrible movie. Unfortunately I didn't realize it right away as I did laugh at the plethora of one-liners. However, overall...it kinda sucked.
Discuss if you so please.

1. The Jazz Flute Scene was worth the price of admission. |
|
Yeah, it was not a great movie. I'll give it 2.5 stars.

But it sucks in a good way.
Now, Zoolander, that sucks in a bad way.

4. Will Ferrell is not funny. |
|
He just isn't. He never was. He was lame and stupid on SNL, he is lame and stupid in every cinematic turd he drops on an unsuspecting public.
That people continually pay money to see him baffles me.

He just is. He always has been. He was an absolute anchor for SNL for many years, and was in the funniest skit ever on SNL: Cowbell. He also did the best Bush satire ever.
That people don't find him funny baffles me.

14. Should have been longer |

Didn't have nearly enough of his good stuff, IMO.
This is what depresses me that SNL reruns are gone from CC. They were running all the Ferrell years.

Are you fucking serious? "Anchorman" was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen, hands down!! I don't mean to shit on your opinion, but I think you're wrong about this one.
What exactly did you think was horrible about it? I'm extremely curious to see how someone can think this movie was "absolutely horrible".

I hated it. The only reason I went was because my friend got stuck with an extra ticket (someone cancelled on her at the last minute). It seemed like the typical SNL skit these days, that is they took a concept that was kind of funny and then just beat it into the ground.
Okay, 70s tv anchormen were pompous. They dressed funny. We get it.
There was an occasional one-liner that made me chuckle, but overall it was just awful. YMMV, of course, but it just wasn't my cup of tea (to put it mildly).
