Am I gonna look like Jerry Lewis? |
|
I have a (suspected) compressed disk in my neck. This has caused quite a bit of pain over the past few weeks. Saw the doc today, and got Prednisone, Darvocet, and Flexeril.
Will the Prednisone cause me to swell up ala Jerry Lewis? I'll only be taking it (hopefully) for about 12 days. I can enjoy the Darvocet and the Flexeril, but I sincerely don't want to get any heavier.
I also have to get an EMG and MRI, then discuss possible surgery. Has anyone ever had surgery for a compressed disk in their neck? I fear that.:scared:

1. Unfortunately Prednisone |
|
does cause some puffiness, however since you are only going to be on it for a few days you shouldn't have a problem with it.

4. It's a complicated regimen. |
|
60 mg/day for two days, then 50 mg/day for 2 days, then 40 mg/day for two days, decreasing by 10 mg/day until the bottle is empty. I believe it should take 12 days total.
