The doorbell just rang. It was some woman who said she lived a few blocks away. She was collecting for her kid's cheerleading team....
I sweetly told her, "Sorry, I don't contribute to anyone except the Democratic National Committee and the Kerry campaign."
OMG, the LOOK she gave me. Like I was Saddam Hussein or something.
Why? My neighborhood is filled with ugly rethuglicans. My 20-year-old daughter found that out recently when she and her team were assigned to canvass our neighborhood as part of the DNC's grassroots campaign. The only money the team got, from knocking at almost 100 homes, was from me and one next-door-neighbor.
I should have told the woman to go Cheney herself. I should give money to some spoiled brat cheerleading team after the way this neighborhood treated the DNC canvassing team? Yeah, right!

I'm working in the deep south. I hail from up north. I understand what these Repugs are all about. Oh the arguments I have had.... simply amazing how brainwashed some of these people are... so content to be spoonfed what they are supposed to think... dream... imagine... so sad. Their government can do no wrong.... really... it can't.
