11. I Love Seattle in the Summer

I really do. I visit friends there from time to time, and most of the time it is beautiful in summer. People always complain about how hot it is in the summer when I'm there, but to this high desert dweller the temperatures seem perfect.

BLAME the weird weather patters caused by global warming. Fortunately for us, the monsoons have begun, so it isn't very hot here.

12. It's too damn hot

I have no air conditioning. My house is filled with skylights. I feel like I only want to eat tomatoes and drink water. Ugh. I hate this. If I had a/c like I used to in my last condo, I'd be okay. But this sucks.

We're both on Vancouver Island, which is also getting the same weather system. Anyway, she complained about how hot and unpleasant it was, saying, "I hope I lead a virtuous life because I wouldn't like being in the flames of Hell!"

I added, "You mean, Bush's place in Crawford -- for so many reasons!" -- and we had a good laugh over that.
