Post Your Favorite Random Photo Here!
I always loved this one of Koko and Ball (who sadly died some weeks after this pic). This was once a cover of the National Geographic, maybe their best ever.

13. Brother Ray

If you order Ray Charles' final album of duets on Amazon now, and you can listen to the stream immediately (even though the album isn't released until the end of August).

It's a really solid record, and his duet with Willie Nelson of "It Was a Very Good Year" is a little spooky to hear Ray sing "...I'm in the autumn of my years."

Good to see one of my favorite singers, Liz Phair, is on the winning team...

The cover art for the re-issue of Lynne Cheney's lesbian romance novel... that was never reissued. Hmmm...

You know what they say ladies... big shoes...

I wish I could say I took this photo, but I didn't. Every time I go back to the Tent Rocks to take photos, I get lost. :-( Of course that doesn't mean I don't find other neat places to visit while I'm lost! :-)

I absolutely love that place. This is a great picture that brings back beautiful memories of Zion. I've never done any hiking in New Mexico. Is Cochiti in the Northwestern part of the state?

43. Cochiti
Cochiti is a Pueblo about 15 minutes south of Santa Fe. The tent rocks are hidden somewhere near the edge of the Jemez Mountains.
There are so many dirt roads in this area, that when I go to see them, half the time I end up exploring a new area I've not seen before.

You'd be surprised how many movies have the tent rocks in them! I think even "Young Buns" used then as backdrop in a scene. New Mexico has some wild Geology, which makes it a nice place for film locations. If you have ever seen the short run "Earth 2" that was on TV a while back, the area they filmed was on the other side of the Jemez MTS. One of the world's largest caldera, Valle Grande Caldera, is in the Jemez Mt.
