A year ago today...

I just wanted to thank you all again for helping me through this most difficult year. You were there for me at every turn, keeping me company in the hospital, comforting through my grief, encouraging me to get therapy when I really needed it, and just plain listening to me.

I dug up some posts from the time of the accident, and after. It makes me cry to look at them again, but for two reasons--because it was such a sad time, but also because you were all so wonderful and I'm so unbelievably lucky.

7. My baby shower is tomorrow!

No kidding. I've gone from having to be cared for like a baby to having a baby to care for (soon). Thanks to my friends and family and my DU family, I've had loving support every step of the way. I'm so grateful.

I cannot believe it has been a year since that chilling post. I was an almost newbie then, and I remember rejoicing that you would survive, and then grieving upon hearing of your loss.

I am so glad that this year afterward has been kind to you, that you have good friends and family around you...and my hope is that, from here, you go onward in happiness!
