1. Sure, Kleeb
Make it as far as here and I'll give you a ride. Stand anywhere on the 5 Corners at 3:00, ok? Make sure you're eating a sausage sandwich so I can recognize you. ;-)

2. Aw! Kleeb! You don't really want to be there!
It's gonna be a big pain in the ass. Nothing happens at the convention...it's all done. People party all night and sleep all day. They will show up for the big moments but most of the rest of it is bulls**t. My friends tell me that Boston is an armed camp and a real mess. Count your blessings and watch it on TV with a few beers or a good scotch! :-)

10. Raven speaks wisdom, Kleeb
I was at Fenway last Wednesday and we had trouble getting out of the city because they already had some detours. I am told they're closing roads and subway stations and I know a lot of office buildings are just shutting down next week. You would end up seeing very little of the political process and your view of Beantown would be less than optimum. Be fair to lady Boston and don't on call on her when she's not at her best. :-)

21. I was also always mistaken for much younger, myself, John
This is aggravating at 16 or 17, but you begin to become grateful for it, the farther you get from 21!

12. Yer back!
I know I want to go too! I asked when I was in Massachusetts (North Adams) if I could go to Boston, and of course not being one who knows the state I got laughed at as I was told it was six hours away. Plus they were Republicans, like THEY'D drop me off there. :eyes:

26. well I was kidding because I know Massachuetts historically
is very republican, see theres proof of the WASP conspiracy, when Massachuetts was all WASP and not Catholic, it was republican and now that its major Catholic, its democratic. I still need a lift to Boston.

13. I agree with Raven
Boston is a great city, with so much to see, but they have practically shut it down, out of fear of terrorism. Michael Moore's "culture of fear," if you remember "Bowling for Columbine." They are even removing the mailboxes, out of fear from bombs, according to the news. Definitely not the time to play tourist, but I truly understand your motivation. I would like to be there, as well. This is history in the making! Plus, Dennis Kucinich will be there, LOL! Our candidate. Sigh.:-(

heading to Maine tomorrow. The city was a mess before the convention arrived. The thought of being here this week is too much.

Funny how you develop an image of someone you've never met! No boozing for you, John! Settle down in front of the TV with a coke and watch the goings on! :hi:

23. You're not the first one to make this mistake, Raven!
The youngest ones on this board are amazingly politically savvy. I have learned much from John and his buddy, leftistrebel1569, who is a year younger. This gives me hope, that they take such an interest and have so much passion about this. We need this in our country.:-)
