Poll question: Was Ford right in nixing the commercial where a CAT gets killed? |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 07:50 AM by HypnoToad
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/stu/video/ford-cat.mpegThe one Ford remade the commercial and it featured a bird flying over the car's hood. The car's hood springs up in fear the bird will doo-doo on it, and the bird gets whacked and dies. Apparently it's okay to kill a bird, but killing a cat was a big no no. http://www.nutman.net/Ka%20Bird.mpeg to see the bird get killed.

1. In my opinion, both of the commercials were totally gross. |

still feeds the mentally unstable. doubt *anything* was killed; the ASPCA monitors this stuff rigorously.
wd it be humorous if a human child had died a sim death?
are you defending these types of ads? you're starting to worry me.

were aimed @ a segment of our society that has a morbid fascination w/animal cruelty, the dogfight/cockfight mentality.
surprisingly, some so-called liberals in this forum have the same debilitating emotional weakness, & love to insert/disrupt threads by nurturing, caring, *true* liberals.
fuck those sick little weaklings, i'll bandy w/them no further. they're WAY too easy to defeat in debate.

that was really killed? A real bird?
But the cat one is much worse, in that lots of people own cats -- it could be my own kitty this happens to. Not as many people own birds, and the one shown is clearly a wild bird, so it's kind of like, who cares?
Either way, neither commercial is acceptable, in my opinion.

Ford was wrong to make either commercial. Both are tasteless. It's nice they nixed the kitty commercial, but they shouldn't have made it to begin with. I guess if you can't provide a product that somebody wants, you appeal to those ignorant enough to find violence amusing.
