Hey, I'm sea-kayaking!

I just took a three hour safety course for sea kayaks, and I'm on lunch... in a few minutes I'm on my way to open water in a boat the size of a cigar tube, with a bunch of other sea kayak virgins.

If nobody hears from me tonight, you'll know what happened.

Are you sure you aren't in one of those short, wide white-water killers? Maybe you tried to stand up in a sea kayak. Even my ultra-stable Folbot's will throw you like a bronco for an unwise raising of the CG (center-of-gravity).

Stick with it CanuckAmok, the tranquility follows. Go to a quiet place and paddle without noise. You will sneak up on flora and fauna that you cannot imagine.
