ebert & roeper's review of outfoxed |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 08:38 PM by theoceansnerves
was hilarious! although roeper gave it a thumbs down (for valid reasons) and ebert gave it a thumbs up, basically the entire review was them going off about how biased fox is and how obvious it is; ebert flat out said it's a republican propaganda machine! it was great!

they had to have a special showing in a regular movie theater because too many people showed up on the MoveOn night. It was crowded.
I enjoyed it but parts got a little slow. I'm not sure how you could have made a documentary like that anymore interesting though. It was nice to see a lot of comments from former Kucinich campaigner Jeff Cohen. I saw funny new reasons to dislike Bill O'Really.

9. Yes.. got a little slow, but less so than Uncovered (Greenwald's |
|
doc on the Iraqi war). BUt, both are well worth watching, IMO. For me, that meant watching Uncovered a couple of times, since I would fade a bit at the detail being presented. Great for a future reference piece though and I loved having the interviews that each presented.

8. Times ARE a'changing, aren't they? |

Documentaries are coming out of the American public's ears, now. I think that that is a good thing. The Republican Party has been able to put forth it's pro-business agenda so well only because it focuses on emotional buttons, not the facts.

Yeah but Roeper for some reason thinks that the average person knows that FOX is a lapdog (his words!) for the RNC. I think he needs to get out more. The average person is CLUELESS.

11. If it's anything like the "Uncovered" movie... |
|
...it means there's another bad music score. I enjoyed watching "Uncovered" but let's face it, that background music got irritating after awhile. It sounded like something you'd hear in one of those bad soft-core porn movies you'd find on latenight HBO or Cinemax
