Oh look at ben affleck hold back his tears |
|
Edited on Sun Jul-25-04 10:22 PM by noahmijo
cause his precious boston bums seem to have been shooken up by that grand slam shot by Matsui.
"Oh I have to sit next to the yankee dugout but hey I can heckle them easier from here"
Please Benny boy you were born in San Fran and unlike your movies you wouldn't last two seconds in a fight with any of the Yanks or any true Yankee fan so give it up poser. Don't act like you'd have the gaw to walk up to any of those guys and pull a Jenna Bush on them. Stick to doing pr work for Kerry, that's about the only thing I have any respect for this guy (ben) for.
If and when kerry comes to tucson, I'm gonna have to heckle him for being a sox fan (but it makes sense that he is of course a mass senator I'll give him that) before I tell him that I want a pic taken with the next president of the US!

I'm just pointing out what a poser he is. My friend who grew up near fenway THAT'S a true Red Sox fan, a tough Irish mug who is a great guy and funny as hell, but tough as nails.

3. Uh, all that damn money |

I'm just not sure why all this hostility is directed at someone who, in every respect, seems to be a good person.

5. well of course I'm jealous of his money but I'm jealous of |
|
anyone who is a millionaire :)
The hostility to Ben is because just now he put on his phony tough guy act and made the statement that he gets to now heckle the yankees more because of his seating arrangement as if he actually has the cajones to really go up to any Yank and talk shit to him.
I'm a lifelong yankee fan so I take that pretty seriously.

4. I'm from Boston and a REAL Red Sox Fan |
|
I'm no big admirer of Ben Affleck, but one thing I do know:
He is a TRUE Red Sox fan and a TRUE Kerry supporter.
I wouldn't go out of my way to see one of his movies, but I gotta give him props.

8. YES!! WTF WAS WITH THAT CALL?? DJ WAS SAFE! |
|
As I understand it, they called DJ out because he was out of the box? What was the basis for the call? And why weren't the runners allowed to advance? BTW- F Millar.

he was inside the baseline- which you just don't do- especially when you know there is going to be a play coming from home to first. It's unproffesional.
And the it's ruled a dead ball-- so the runners can't advance.
Rules are rules. Even the Yankees have to abide by them. :-)

First that thug attacks A-Rod now we gotta corrupt umps, what the hell was that all about?? what was Jeter supposed to do?? run OUTSIDE of the basline? it's obvious that was NOT going to be a double so he charged ON THE LINE as fast as he could not his help that bum 1 can't make the throw to bum 2 without hitting jeter. The primary play was not at the plate it was at first so that ump can take that call and shove it.
Ah well only proves the only way these bums can pull anything off on the Yanks is to cheat.
It's precisely why we won't be seeing them in any world series games anytime soon B-)
Ah hell they just lost, but anyone knows that call was bullshit, and the sox didn't earn this one.

We're 7 games up and are only going to get stronger. We're gonna get Moose, Brown, and Giambi back, all healthy, and then we shall be even stronger.

|
be Red Sox fans?
He's a true Bostonian. He's done great things for this city and for the democrats. Just because he doesn't like the Yankees doesn't make him a poser or a bad person.
