4. Skylarking... what a great album. |
|
From beginning to end.
That's one of the things that we'll miss if online single-track purchasing completely supplants the CD. To really appreciate Skylarking, you had to listen to it in order, from the first track to the last.
Thematically, you were missing something if you only listened to individual songs, or if you hit the "randomize" button.

5. "Skylarking" is the best, but I voted for the Dolls. |
|
Because everyone knows what the correct answer is, and will vote for it; thereby leaving the Dolls underrepresented. I could not, in good conscience, allow this to occur.
That said, if the New York Dolls had reveived a vote by the time I clicked on this, I would have voted XTC. They hadn't, so I didn't.

8. I had to go with Badfinger |
|
I am just biased because I am a big fan of theirs. But it is still a good album and wonderfully produced. I think George Harrison had something to do with the production also, but I could be wrong.

Badfinger was Apple's second-biggest selling group.
Straight Up is a great album. I might vote for that, though the New York Doll's first album was another knockout. Straight Up it is.

But had to cancel. Todd stepped in and the rest is history.

12. I think a few tracks were Harrison |
|
At least "Day after Day" I believe. I'd have to go back and read the liners from the CD.
