Played two rounds at Firestone CC in Akron last week...ask me anything |
|
...except my score. Let's just say I invoked the 'triple bogey limit' way too often... :eyes:
Man what a treat - corporate meeting, all paid, open bar, got to stay in the clubhouse! Beautiful weather, etc etc.
Next year, I'm resolved to shoot better - at least so that I can admit my score.

1. i played both courses a few times-wealthy friend... |

even stayed in the palmer room in the clubhouse. tough greens, uphill and downhill lies, and nervousness were my bane.

...so if you're off the fairway (as I often am) the ball's almost as good as lost. Still, "The worst day golfing, etc etc".

The only "tournament" course I've ever played is the TPC course at The Woodlands. And the Houston Open isn't even played there anymore. Coincidence? I think not.

4. I thought you'd like that... |
|
...might have to get some pointers from you before I try that again. My handicap? I'm left-handed... ;-)

5. What was your best hole (scoring)? |
|
Which was your favorite hole?
I've played TPC...looooong. Not that exotic a course, either.
I've also played Augusta Pines, where they're having the Senior Open (I think) later this year. It's not all that (I like Blackhorse better, which is part of the Redstone/SHO family now).

One on a par 5 on the South Course, one on a par 3 on the North Course.
I had no control whatsoever off the tee. None. I finally switched over to the "irons-only" strategy at about the eleventh tee on Friday. Helped a little.

7. Was that you taking a leak behind that tree on 7? |
|
:bounce:
On one of the muni courses in Baltimore there is actually a tree that reaks to high heaven because so many people go on it. For what ever reason a lot of people have to go when they get on that hole.

My marching band bladder (trained during four years of our high school band's looooong road trips to football games on unequipped school buses) permits me to wait for the appropriate facilities.
