My first freeper- head to head in another country

Qualifier- Been living in Cancun for about four months now and have fallen in love with all of it except the Hotel Zone... which is a reproduction of every Hotel Zone in every city in the world. Why leave if that's what you're gonna do?

Met my first Freeper in Cancun today. Was talking geo-politics with some nationals at a Catina for lunch and we were lamenting the loss of US prestige overseas ever since * became pResident (In general, the Mexicans I've talked with were very supportive of Clinton's policies and his Presidency and can't stand Chimpy McShrimpants).

American one table over asks me why I, an American am bashing the "greatest" pResident of the 20th century. I've been waiting for an opportunity like this since I came to Cancun and I let loose with all my pent up frustrations from Valerie Plame to WMD's to prison torture. I ended the convo much like this...

"I'm not bad mouthing *, I'm simply using the same analytical skills that Limbaugh did when he critiqued Clinton's daughter... and there was *nothing* wrong with that... right? (Now I started having fun at his expense) Why do hate America so much? Why do you want to see our beloved country die a thousand deaths. Why are you treating her like a whore... prostituting her strengths and values simply to make a buck? What are you... some kind of Godless Atheist? Oh, by the way... you're in Mexico: show her some respect and speak the language or get the hell outta the country. Can I buy you a beer?"

Poor guy refused my offer for a beer in an apoplectic fit. Told him I'd pray for him and America.

Look, I AM a nice guy and a pretty level-headed person overall. But DAMN, I hate seeing the level of debate become a bunch of underfunded bullet-points read out on Fox and AM radio and accepted as gospel and I HATE to see these snotty demagogues use my religion and my faith and my God in a blaspheme against the Almighty by relegating Him to a political party. "Hi, I'm Jesus Christ and I endorse this ad. Paid for by the Campaign to ReSelect the pResident"

I simply blew up today and this poor bastard was both the trigger and in the way. Damn! I didn't know I had it in me. Must be something in the water...
