I guess I'll be redundant and see "God, I miss him!" Absolutely brilliant speech, just what I expected. He never fails to deliver.

But I wanted to, really. Christ, this has really been four years of hell, no?
In ten years, people will have forgotten all about Reagan. The Big Dog, however, will be remembered for decades to come.

I think what made me cry the most is the fact that we have such a dumbass in the White House. George could never pull off a speech like that

Gore, Carter, Clinton, and Edwards. ;-) The New Southern Strategy.
I make no apologies for that. The southern-bashers on DU are in for a world of hurt if they dare spew their bigoted pigshit to me.

okay - no tears, my hand is down at half mast. I would raise it, except the words elicited a more rousing and raging sentiment. I am glad to have witnessed it.

I am so darned proud of that guy.
That was a FANTASTIC speech that did more to define what the election is all about than anything that has proceeded it.

Hearing Hillary and him talk reminded me that America wasn't always under the control of mean-spirited morons who can't even read a fuckin' teleprompter...
And I counted at least three references to the Pretzeldunce's short-comings..."Strength AND Wisdom..." was one.

|
of incredible speeches and show of solidarity. The first thing that put tears in my eyes was Bebe Winan's rendition of the National Anthem and then the kids singing Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is My Land" got me again. These are tears of gratitude. We ARE united and we ARE reclaiming America.

Gore, because of the good humor and grace with which he spoke of 2000. We all know what might have been...
Carter, because he is quite simply the greatest elder statesman America has produced in generations. He was forceful in his denunciations of Bush, and skillfully needed no mention of his name. Perhaps the best speech he has ever given.
Clinton, because the Big Dog is... the Big Dog. Nobody lays a smackdown on the right-wing like Willie J. What a time we had in the 90's. Is there a better speaker in all of politics?
