NYers: Where is a good bar to watch the Convention in Manhattan? |
|
I have to be in NYC for work on Wed. and Thurs. night (a big bummer since I live in Boston).
Does anyone know a good Democrat-friendly type bar? I'm staying in the Village.

1. Jerry's Restaurant in Soho... |
|
On Prince St., a block and a half west of Broadway (right if you're heading downtown). Get the R train to Prince St. and walk in teh direction the cars go on Prince. Block and a half later, you're there. Great restaurant with a well stocked bar, pretty bartenders. Big screen at the end of the bar. Usually tuned to sports but they are amenable to requests.
The dirty martini rocks!
Hope that helps.

5. Cross over to Jersey if you're a smoker... |
|
Otherwise, just walk down the street. Everyone hates Bush in NY, especially the Village...
