Days Of Our Lives (WARNING: Another Spoiler Request)
You guys were so helpful yesterday in getting me "caught-up" with how The Prisoner ended... I've got one more storyline that I need help with.

I'm not a regular viewer of the daytime drama "Days Of Our Lives". Instead, I'm more of a semi-semi-regular viewer. NBC is my daytime background noise, and even though I don't actively sit-and-watch, sometimes I'll work-and-listen to what's going on.

Okay... MY QUESTION:

Was Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) the Salem Serial Killer? Last I saw she had been caught, and was in jail. But now she's not in jail and appears to be held 'hostage' on some remote outdoor location.

Did the Salem killings actually happen? Or was it a dream sequence? Did the DOOL writers really kill off THAT MANY characters? Was it really Marlena? Or was it an evil-twin? Was she under the influence of drugs or hypnosis? Or was she insane?

Any help you could provide would be warmly received. A brief 25 word synopsis would do fine... you don't have to go into a lot of detail (unless you really WANT to).

8. Y&R is the best show on daytime TV
I think it's also better than some of the shows on the network's primetime schedule.

2. Yes Marlena killed them all
but they wern't really dead. somehow they were killed, but then after the funerals they "woke up" on this island (which is an exact replica of salem <"saves us money on sets">) where they are trapped. Nobody in salem knows they are alive (except those responsiable of course and we don't know who they are) they hjust exumed Marlena yesterday, found out her coffin is empty, and the undertaker killed himself to avoid talking to John and Bo.

so, in conclusion.

she killed them all, and they are all living prisoners on an island.

(I still think Rex and Cassie are involved)

It's a bit far-fetched... but I guess they are trying to emulate the success of "Passions" by using science-fiction/fantasy story lines.

So, what was Marlena's motivation? Was she under someone else's mind control? Mad scientists? Evil spirits or demons? Drugs? Insanity? Communists?

4. She didn't remember doing any of it....
I think they said by summer's end or by years end, can't remember, everyone will be on the island and some weird darkness will overtake the real Salem.

5. It's a big mess right now...
I am curious how they are going to explain it all, but looks like she didn't really kill them all...and they are all on this little island now...

9. They split up all the couples
there are only two couples left. (one is Sammy and Lucas who are a new couple, so they don't count)

the other is Rex and Mimi, and since I think Rex is involved...

10. Actually...
James E. Reilly, the head writer for Passions is also now the head writer for Days. That explains the supernatural aspect of both shows.
