300th Post - All About Bill
When I realized this morning I was closing in on 300, I thought I would save my thoughts on President Clinton's turn at the podium last night for the "special post."

I was so energised by that man. I did not get home from work until almost 9:45 last night, and I was in a bad mood. I took a shower and helped my wife order something on the net she was looking for, then turned in to bed to fall asleep watching the convention. The first man I saw was John Kerry's gunner, Rev. David Alston. While he was having trouble with the teleprompter, I was impressed with the obvious respect and adoration he felt for Kerry. I got a tear in my eye during the 9/11 remembrance.

Once Hillary took the stand I began to wake up a little. I think that may have been Hillary's finest speech. Once Bill came out, I was wide awake. I was wired until 11:00.

I miss that man. Back in the day, with fire in his eyes, throwing republicans out of the way as his popularity increased and forced compromise from the right. He nailed it when he said that the republican party is far right of most americans. I loved his recent inclusion as a bush tax cut beneficiary. His talk made for long for the days of old, while praying that Kerry wins so we have days to look forward to.

I stayed up until 12:30 trying to get back to sleep. I kept replaying his message in my head. I still hear him talking.

1. Wasn't it great to hear him speak? That charm is still there.
And the man can actually string two sentences together; not repeat himself endlessly; show facial expressions that don't make me gag; and sound like he's 'speaking off-the-cuff'. God, I miss intelligence in the presidency.

2. He is the man
He was working on his speech until the last minute. He always does some changes at the podium once he feels the crowd.
He is such a great man to watch speak. I know what you mean about missing a brain in the Whitehouse.
