As Drudge would say, developing...

In a startling move Tuesday, the Vikings are expected to sign former 'U' and WWE wrestling star Brock Lesnar to a free-agent contract, the FAN has learned.

Terms of the deal were not immediately available, although it is believed to be worth the rookie minimum of $230,000.

"(Lesnar) has great passion," head coach Mike Tice said. "I believe he really wants to do this."

The 6-foot-3, 286-pound aspiring defensive tackle impressed Tice in a 45-minute workout Tuesday morning. The club quickly offered him a contract, pending a physical.

(snip)

Will likely play Defensive Tackle.

I'm glad he's signed up for my football team!

He was an awesome wrestler in college (my college, by the way) and with his short stint in the WWE. He's definitely one of my favorites. There isn't too many guys who would do a shooting star press all the way across the ring.

4. He definitely is a curiosity
On the one hand, he is one hell of an athlete.

On the other hand, he hasn't played football in almost a decade.

I see no harm in bringing him in for training camp.

7. His last match was Wrestlemania XX.
March 16, 2004.

It was Brock Lesnar v Goldberg with Steve Austin as the guest referee. Goldberg won. It was the last match of all three of those guys. :(

5. Is EJ Henderson Going To Be Playing This Year....
seems like someone on one of the college football message boards I frequent said something about him being in some trouble. He was certainly a dominant college football player.
