Last night a convert was made (at the happy hour)

i went to the happy hour Last night w/ ms. sniffa and another coupLe.

i asked my buddy to go because he's anti-bush and getting pumped for kerry. his girLfriend however is a different story. she doesn't Like bush, but kerry is bad. she doesn't know why, he just is (something about a kerry presidency means Less in her paycheck). both i and my buddy didn't think she'd want to go to a DU event since she disdains poLitics and wouLd be bored.

not onLy was she not bored, but she got compLeteLy swept up in the moment and was cheering the speakers - especiaLLy obama. i watched the transformation happening before my eyes as she started turning Last night. she discovered Last night that this is her party.

i know it's onLy one person but i aLways gush over these stories of converts, and i wanted to thank my feLLow DUers for the conducive environment for her turn.

now, where are the damn pictures!? :P

2. Last night was great. I am glad you got a convert out of it.

Obama's speech was perfect. I didn't get home until 4:30 and thankfully C-SPAN was re-running the whole thing -- I watched about an hour of it again. I am sort of tired this morning. It was a great happy hour. I was so thrilled to see the "Pants on Fire" mobile. Now if I can only figure out how to download the pics of the digital. I am still living in the 20th century!

8. I am not sure what time we left, we went to see Tweety's show.

It just sick how excited I got about seeing Richard Holbrook in person -- I touched his elbow by accident. Ron Reagan was there, the Editor of the Nation -- I love her. I was amazed the Tweety actually appears fatter in person! We left Boston around 1:00 a.m. and the drive home took longer than anticipated -- my sister got a migraine and had to stop every so often and I am not coordinated enough to drive a standard. But last night was just great. I am so tempted to go up to Boston for the acceptance speech on Thursday! It was great to finally meet other DUer's. I hope we can do it again soon.
