"Bat Out Of Hell" Most cheerful song about a motorcycle accident,
and zombies taking over a town.

And a killer stalking the town.

And the town burning down.

No lie. Listen to the song.

1. I thought it
was about Bush trying to ride a mountain bike.

2. Nah. Among its many other themes are love and the freedom
of the open road. You know, real icky left-wing stuff like that. :-)

3. My Meatloaf Story:
I've worked with him three times.

The first time was in 1995, and he was busy doodling someting on a cocktail napkin. I asked him what it was, and she showed me this elaborate ballpoint-pen drawing of the motorcycle guy rescuing some busty chick in a torn t-shirt from a firebreathing dragon/bat thing.

"It's the artwork for my comeback album", he said proudly.

"Cool", I replied, will it be done by the same artist as "Bat Out Of Hell?"

"No", he replied, somewhat offended, "this IS the finished product. There's no need to change anything....it's perfect!"

4. Aw shoot. I hope Meat isn't some egotistical jerk.
He seems so down to earth in his interviews. And he's one HELL of an entertainer! I saw his show at the Gorge back in 1994. Un-frickin'-believable!

6. Nothing ever grows in this rotting old hole...
and every things stunted and lost.
Nothing really rocks and nothing really rolls,
and nothings ever worth the cost.

Describes the town I grew up in very well.
