8. Skills I have yet to master. Love your Clemente photo by the way... |
|
..and I'm guessing it's from about ...1964? Are you a Pittsburgher? Or a Roberto fanatic? I'm both.

Bucs and Steelies!
And yes, number 21 is big around my house. Got to see him play whenever the Bucs came out to LA; once at Forbes Field in '69, and once at Three Rivers in '72. (We were visiting family on those two occasions.)

10. Cool. I was born and raised in the 'burgh but left it at 18... |

...went to college, then moved to L.A. and I now live in NYC. Roberto was my childhood hero and I, like you, was lucky enough to see him play at Three Rivers a few times. I'm guessing that you know that when they tore down Forbes Field about 1970, they kept and preserved the wall over which Maz hit the Series-winning home run in 1960. It's still there. A swatch of red brick about 15 yards long. I ran my hands over it last time I was home, several months ago.
I noticed that a Clemente baseball card from '71 went for about $250 on Ebay recently. I'm hoping that, somehow, in my family's storage rooms, my vast collection of Pirates baseball cards has been preserved. I'd never sell my "21" cards, but I'd like to find them after 20-plus years and frame 'em!
Ah, Roberto. What a man.

What is wrong with you people?
We have a perfectly juvinile thread about boobies and space stations and moons and what ... you have to come here and have a conversation with complete sentences and shit!
Move your feel good, friendly conversation somewhere else!
;) Just giving you a hard time.

13. I just wrote you an incredible, perverse reply... |

...involving a Spence student who sez she's 18, her breasts, and my magic wand. And it's all true! It's happening now! But I realized I couldn't post it because it was obscene.
You might well ask, "How do you do it, Westegg? Post and get off at the same time? What IS your secret?" Practice, baby. Practice.
