This might be controversial, but I really like Rush...
...the Canadian rock trio. Though I have close to 2000 CDs, I only got my first Rush album yesterday. "Moving Pictures." I'm surprised at how good it is. Never liked their "hit songs," but this album rocks. Live and learn, I guess.

Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot.

1. Rush is awesome.
They are a great band. There are many other great Rush albums. Moving Pictures may have been their breakthrough, but it certainly isn't their only great album.

9. Anything Before Moving Pictures.
You also might want to check out the Live DVD they recorded in Brazil. I have heard it's amazing, not because of the music per-say but just the entire even itself. Rush is one of the greats. I learned how to play drums from emulating Neil(alot).

14. Thanks. Yes, Neil is a unique drummer. I've never listened to...
an entire Rush album all the way through until "MP," and I'm quite impressed. Sorry I missed seeing them "live" in what I imagine were their glory days about 20 years ago. Do they still tour? I thought I read something about them visiting NYC soon. Still worth seeing? Most 30-year-old bands are fairly creaky and just going through the motions, in my experience...

16. Yes, go see them!
I saw them on the "Vapor Trails" tour, and they were amazing. Yeah, they look older, but they still perform like they're 20.

18. You Might Want To Try...
"Chronicles" as well. It's a two-disk best of album that showcases alot of their older stuff. It also has a lot of "Moving Pictures" tracks so YMMV. The name of the DVD I mentioned is "Rush In RIO"

2. Paula Abdul Had A (Non) Hit Named "Rush, Rush"
You're the whisper of a
Summer breeze
You're the kiss that puts my
Soul at ease
What I'm saying is I'm
In to you
Here's my story, and the
Story goes
You give love, you get love
And more than
Heaven knows
You're gonna see
I'm gonna run, I'm gonna try
I'm gonna take this love
Right to ya
All my heart, all the joy
Oh baby, baby please

= chorus: =
Rush, rush
Hurry, hurry lover
Come to me
Rush, rush
I wanna see, I wanna see ya
Get free with me
Rush, rush
I can feel it, I can feel you
All through me
Rush, rush
Ooh what you do to me

And all I want from you is
What you are
And even if you're right
Next to me
You're still too far away
If I'm not inside your arms
I get dramatic baby
Yes I know
But I need you, I want you
Ooh man, I love you so
Ooh, ooh
You're gonna see
I'm gonna run, I'm gonna try
I'm gonna take this love
Right to ya
All my heart, all the joy
Oh baby, baby please

= chorus x 2 =

When you kiss me
Up and down
Turn my senses all around
Oh baby, oh baby
I don't know
Just how or why
But no one else
Has touched me
So deep, so deep
So deep inside

You're gonna see
I'm gonna run
I'm gonna try
I'm gonna take this love
Right to ya
All my heart, all the joy
Oh baby, baby please

= chorus =

4. My old bass player
was his chef for years and I'll tell ya one thing I admired about him was one day he told Tim he hated his car and took him out and bought him a brand new Honda CRV-THAT impressed me.Tim always liked him but felt sorry for him and his drug addiction, which I knew about years before the Enquirer broke the story. In fact if you go back you'll see it was I who was outing RL under a different name Oustemnow...Limbaugh was really pissing me off with his hate-filled diatribes at the time calling Kerry French looking disrespecting Hillary big time and calling Gephardt Little Dick. That was gettin to be too much

17. Hey Mara, how come, just because you changed your screen name...
...you had to go back to zero with your posts? Couldn't they have carried them over?

As to your orginal statement: I am not, in fact, too cute for words. Oh I'm cute, all right. Impossibly cute, even. That's not debatable. But we need to tell the people that, Mara. We need to get the message out. And we need to muster all the words at our disposal to do so. You and me kid. We're a team. Like, like Bonnie and Clyde, Peaches and Herb, MacGruder and Loud, Pomp and Circumstance.

I'm in a bit of a funk today, M. Seeing your post has lifed my spirits.

19. I love ya, mister

You make me laugh and lift my spirits, too! :-)

Yeah, they can never move the post count over. I think they may want to discourage people from changing names frequently, or else it is just plain not possible....

Oh well, doesn't matter that much to me!

Hope the funk isn't too deep or too bad, mister.... :pals:
