Okay I just got a call and it's one of those phone polls where the pre recorded voice gives you the options.
It was a two question poll:
First question was who I'd vote for if the election was today.
Okay easy enough I selected John Kerry.
Second question:
"If you selected John Kerry are you supporting him to help the Democratic Ticket? or to defeat Bush"
What a lowlife BULLSHIT fucking question that is.
So in other words some network can now paste this poll with some old talking head can say
"Well ya see Phil, Kerry does have a lead however, according to this poll the people seem to be supporting him solely to defeat Bush/support the Democrats NOT because in fact they like his policies or his vision.
Clearly Wolfie, Kerry's support is coming in primarily because voters just want to defeat Bush but not elect John Kerry, now let's also examine some more stats which "tell" how voters feel as if they don't "know" John Kerry, but just want to defeat bush"
FUCK THEM I just hung up after that question.
I want options that say stuff like "because you are sick of what Bush has done to this great country, his cozying up with Islamic terrorists and their financers, his disregard for our troops and our citizens"
THAT'S a fuckin poll question worth posting on your tv.
This poll sounded like the same kind of polling that occurred when shrubya was running against the other repugs for the ticket, and this is exactly why I trust no poll as far as I can throw the crooks who write them.

Thats a loaded poll, and you know the right wing pundits are after it. The Right Wing is trying new tactics.
Remember in Election 2000, during the primaries, that the Bush Campaign used pollsters to influence voting in southern states by asking people if they would vote for McCain if they knew that he had an illegitimate black child. That was a manipulative question designed to indirectly associate him with being immoral (all you need to do is to install the idea into the image, its a tactic of selling/marketing) that thus installed doubt into McCains image, and thus smeared McCain because voters dont like doubts.
Its a tactic meant to install doubt in order to demoralize support and thus make someone be not so sure and thus, if an undecided voter, to appeal more to the "less doubted" candidate.
