6. It is very, very important for us to watch.... |
|
It will give us joy to watch just how stupid they are. We can learn how to contradict their attacks from their own statements. It is very important for us to watch, especially when the media is on bush's side. I hope we're all here discussing their issues and contradictions, and sending thousands of E-mail to the media. We need to protest the corrupt media.

7. Other........I'm watching the media |
|
I want to see if they stack the deck with as many negative and opposing views as they have with the Dems. And when they lie about Iraq, will the media call them on it. And will they bring up the Flip-Flop leader the past threee years...........the President Bush. And will Hemmer from CNN say to any guest, as he did to Moore, "a lot of people want you dead".
I'll be watching the media.

I'll watch most of it, even though it will be total gloss. They think the Democrats have to try hard to seem mainstream -- it will be interesting to see a GOP that doesn't come completely off as far-right whackjob. I want to see how the pro-choice speakers go over with the Evangelicals.
The GOP has a lot bigger job to do -- I mean we have far-left ideologues in the Democratic party, but the GOP isn't mainstream at all, and it will be kind of funny to see them try to wrap themselves in this moderate package.
I know they say the same thing about us, but in all reality, our far leftists have basically split off to the Greens, and although we need each other, it is of far less magnitude than the GOP, whose electorate is made up of 40 percent Evangelicals/Christian Reconstructionists.
Democrats have much more of a chance to appeal to the swing voter -- they only have danger if they go too far left. The GOP has to balance going too far right, for some --- and too far center. The far right has made substantial inroads in the leadership and representation in the GOP, and they're going to demand payback for their loyalty.

I'll be watching it unfold here on DU as we tear each of their hypocritical and deceitful statements to shreads and discredit the party for the right wing extremist political organization that it has now become. I also may follow the BBC website's monitoring of the convention -the only news source I trust to cover the whole event in a non-biased fashion-but other than that definitely not

We as a party need to be visable during their convention.

24. It should be important for us to watch. But it no longer is. |

George Bush, talk radio, talk TV etc... have left this so-called Political Party as nothing more than a hollow facade. There is no point in watching what we already get shoved down our throats day after day.
