Its good luck at conventions to play "Happy Days are Here Again"
They done it every year since 1932. This version is really nice, jazzy, by the Casa Loma Orchestra in 1929

Words are there too so you can sing along with FDR, Truman, Stevenson, JFK and all the greats in our party...

1. Hope they will this year...
Remember what was going on when this song was written....banks failing, millions out of work, open corruption, veterans actually attacked by US troops...and along came optimistic confident FDR....

"Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again"

3. Back then Mississippians had no trouble voting for liberal Democrats from
the east coast back then. It was only after Roosevelt saved our ass, and 20 years of prosperity led to the Civil Rights movement that we decided we didn't like liberals Democrats.

2. You know, Barbra Streisand does a very heartfelt version of it.
Not to sound like your stereotypical, giddy gay man who's a big fan of Ms. Streisand or anything. :-)

But she does a wonderful version of it.
