so amuse me will you with short tales of rumor, imagination
and intrigue.

The pool is closed, and my work is done, so I am now avoiding working on my kitchen.

I think I missed all the good tales earlier. Maybe I will just put up snippets of Shakespeare.

5. it was dark
she felt willful and the moon was full and bloodred.
There were cicadas keening in the distance.
She ran to the sea and flung herself into it's embrace.
Mingling with the salty foam and blasting sand onto her skin.
The sea was calling all to itself.

Now I'm ready for a romance novel contract, right?

7. I heard George Bush* has a box turtle named Cynthia.
Had it since he* was a little boy. Her shell is lacquered shiny pink and covered with gold sequins. "CYNTHIA" is spelled out in rhinestones.

Once a week he* paints her toenails pink, to match her shell. She's a toybox turtle, and he carries her in his* pocket, everywhere he* goes. During times of stress, he* pulls her out and sucks on her head, all the while cooing "Who's teentsy-weentsy liddle precious-princess is THIS? Who's a sweetums baby girl, then? Kissy-Kissy.".

Cynthia has her own Secret Service contingent. Her 'code name' is Terrapin One. At night she sleeps with Barney. Other times, when not in Georgie*s pocket, she travels on a little pink satin pillow. Pickles is said to be very jealous of Cynthia and won't let her sleep in the same room, which is why George* spends a lot of time on the living room couch, just to be near Cynthia.

Oh, and Drudge says that "Cynthia" is really a boy. This is political dynamite if Fox News gets ahold of it.
The End
;-)
