It's been years since I've been able to enjoy the convention as much as I have this year. It's a wonder to be able to turn on a news event like this, watch it and not have some annoying shrill in the background telling me how to think.

For four days, as soon as I could get home from work (and I've been working some long ass hour at work) I would flip on c-span and watch it until the end of the day.

Here's a toast to C-Span - every so worth every penny I pay for cable!!

10. I don't have cable, so I had to watch C-SPAN on my computer...

...but so what? The network's coverage was perfect: set up the cameras and microphones, switch them on, and get the hell out of the way!
