17. Heheh, had I only known

that Puck was a "she" and not a "he"! I was assured that Puck was male when I got her (at three months she looked younger than one month-it was pretty had to tell anything). She probably would have been Titania had I known the truth-but Puck suits her prefectly. She's a total imp!

He's my big baby; only a year old, with LOTS more growing to do (it takes Maine Coons up to five years to mature). He may look majestic much of the time:


but this better captures his personality:


He LOVES to be held and begs for playtime most of his waking hours. Maine Coons may be huge, but they are probably the best breed of cat for families with children (sort of the Golden Retrievers of the cat world-very gentle and patient). You can see his family members at www.heartshaven.com

Lol! I just got hired by Scholastic books to do illustrations for children's books. I even submitted one to them that I authored and illustrated recently, but I never thought of doing one about my fur kids. I'll give it some thought ;-).

Actually, you already see my work in stores. I do almost all the Princess illustrations for the Disney company (many other feature film characters too. I was once an animator for them). It would be nice to have some of my own stuff out there; and not just on t-shirts, sleepwear, playsets and Dixie cups!

8. Folks at my salon were for Kerry, too

Tonight I went in for a haircut at my salon which is usually buzzing over movies and celebrities, but never real current events. Well, tonight all the hairsylists were buzzing over Kerry's speech! Some were going to TiVo it, others "had to watch it live, because this is a historic moment"! They all kept talking about how hopeful they were of disposing of the boy king.

That was even more amazing than my three cats watching Kerry's speech for nearly an hour, lol!

Well, to be honest I'm assuming she's a repuke. Her owner (my neighbor) is most certainly a Repuke. I suppose she could be a Dem. since she spends most of her time in MY yard. She probably thinks her owner is a moran, now that I think about it ;-) . Kittens are pretty smart!

my Puck loves to try to chew on my toothbrush right after I use it. I've tried giving her one of her own-nope, she has to have mine! If I don't hide it from her, I'll find it on the floor in the morning. Ick!

28. Lol! Actually, she was pretty frustrated

I hardly ever turn on the big TV in the library, the set I watch is usually a tiny one in my studio. The cats all just LOVE visitors, especially Puck, who thinks everyone who comes to the house is her plaything. Since the camera stayed on Kerry, they seemed to think he was another visitor. The other two cats just enjoyed the fact that the visitor seems to be talking to them, but Puck wanted to get him out of that box and play, dammit! She was running from side to side "can I get into the box? Why won't he come out of the damn box! Argh!" I think she was getting a bit pissed in that shot, lol!
